Weight Loss is becoming an increasingly talked about and researched about topic. With fast foods and processed foods hogging every nook and corner of our lives, it is not really possible to avoid that urge to indulge in heavy food snacking once in a while even for the most conscious weight watchers. Majority of us are not weight watchers and we only realize the effect of all the gobbling when our waist lines expand beyond comprehension or when we are strapped to the hospital beds. Type of food consumed:
Fast-food and processed foods are the most important cause of weight gain and why it is difficult to lose weight. Veggies and fruits are consumed on rare occasions, if I may say so and that is very much disheartening.
Natural, Organic foods need to be our top priority when we decide on what type of food we are feeding ourselves and our family if we are serious about weight loss.
Amount of food consumed:
Look at the portion of food serving when you order at the fast food joints. How much beef, salt and calories are you consuming in just one sitting! Do you need those amounts of stuff going into your system? Do those servings have any ounce of veggies or fruits in them to balance the meal!
Next time, try to down-size your portion you eat and balance that out with fruits and veggies instead.
Sedentary Lifestyle:
This is also a major cause of weight gain. Many of us hold office jobs or work in environments that confine us to the chairs most of the time. Many of us are just plain lazy to provide any form of stretching or exercise routine for our bones and muscles.
What you don’t use, you lose. That’s a simple fact of life. Similarly, if you do not get out of the rut of sedentary lifestyle and lead an active and fulfilling lifestyle you can continue seeing your waist line expand beyond means.
In conclusion, healthy weight loss is impossible if you do not take an active interest in why you are gaining weight in the first place. Once you know the root cause of problem and tackle it, you have started on the mission on effective weight loss. You will be successful and also lose weight fast.
